Poker website
PokerRoad launches

Famous father and son team, Barry Greenstein and Joe Sebok develop new online project pokerroad.com

Father and son pairing Barry Greenstein and Joe Sebok have partnered up to launch an exciting new multi-media website PokerRoad.com.

The pair, who are able to leverage superb poker contacts and considerable financial wherewithal, hope www.pokeroad.com will provide: "the best in pokertaintment from a slightly skewed angle".

Frustrated when his popular PokerWire Radio show co-hosted with Gavin Smith "lost its home again", Sebok sat down with his father mulling over the demise of the programme. "We finally just decided, "screw this, why don't we set up our own company?"

"At the moment, we're self-financing so we can retain full autonomy, but we've been approached by several media partners, which means we can make it even bigger at some point soon. I have a feeling that PokerRoad is going to be around for quite some time."

Sebok's particularly proud of attracting some of pokers' most prestigious names to contribute, "BJ Nemeth, who's regarded as the top tournament reporter in the world is going to be writing tournament recaps.

We also have Scott Huff, Joe Stapleton, Amanda Leatherman, Bear, myself - really everyone who has done poker entertainment media is on our team, so I think it's going to get really exciting.

“We'll feature radio, video and blogs, plus a whole host of other content I don't want to let out yet - the whole nine yards.

"We're going to have the sickest blogging team you can put together, including Kevin "beLOW aBOVe" Saul, Anna Wroblewski, Steve Sung and Jeff Madsen, and Barry's going to do an audio blog and tip section.

"At this point we have four weekly radio shows scheduled, and my show with Gavin coming from the road. We'll also have a news show, incorporating weekend updates, with a Saturday Night Live/Daily Show kind of feel.

"We're so fired up, we really think it's going to blow everything away that exists in terms of online web content for poker. We could not be more excited."
