Nottingham super card club Dusk Till Dawn to host APAT event, along with Aberdeen's International

APAT has announced the addition of two venues to the APAT Regional Championship, for the 4th leg of the series.

Northern Region Firstly, the International Casino in Aberdeen joins the fold to become the most northernly venue hosting APAT events.

APAT already has a fantastic Scottish venue in Gala Edinburgh, and the International promises to maintain this very high standard and in keeping with this, will provide a fully dealer dealt, registration free tournament, for both legs 4 and 5.

The top ten percent of players in leg 4 will qualify for the Scottish Amateur Championship in Edinburgh in May and rumours have reached us that current champion and Edinburgh regular Phil Starrs may well start his campaign to recapture his Scottish title at the International in Aberdeen.

We are assured a warm welcome will await our members attending the Aberdeen event and we are delighted to have them on board. Neil 'luckybugur' Dawson will be the APAT Regional representative responsible for Aberdeen and we wish the best of luck to Casino Manager John and his team for their first APAT event in April.

And secondly, Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham joins the Regional Championship series.

DTD continues to receive rave reviews and will provide a registration free, fully dealer dealt APAT Regional Championship event in both legs 4 and 5. Due to a scheduling clash at DTD, leg 4 of the Regional Championship will be held a week later than planned on 12 April. Any player who has already purchased their seat for the Scottish Amateur Championship (direct buy in on sale 8 April) and goes on to qualify through DTD will have their direct buy in refunded.

Tournament Director Simon Trumper will be on hand to ensure that APAT members have a fantastic day out at DTD and this is clearly not an event to be missed. Ian 'HaworthBantam' Burnett will be the Regional Manager responsible for DTD.

We wish both venues the best of luck in hosting APAT events and would encourage our members in surrounding areas to support both wherever possible.

Registration details for all leg 4 venues will be announced two weeks before the events take place.
