PokerStars has signed Russian poker pro and WSOP Champion Alex Kravchenko to the roster of professional poker players and world champions that make up Team PokerStars Pro.

Alex has already had a lucrative poker career, with an extensive track record of cashes at tournaments across Europe. 2007 proved to be his most successful year so far. He picked up his first WSOP bracelet in Las Vegas, winning $228,466 in the $1,500 Omaha Hi/Lo Split 8 or Better event. He also cashed at four other events, as well as finishing in 4th place at the 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event, beating over 6,000 players to take home $1,852,721.

In September 2007, Alex travelled to London and played in the first World Series of Poker* Europe, reaching the final table of the £2,500 H.O.R.S.E. event and finishing in 5th place. Alex is at the top of the all-time money list of players from Russia.

Kravchenko used to make good money investing in different businesses, but he found himself making more cash when he started playing blackjack at the local casinos around Moscow. He then moved on to the game of Oasis Poker - a variation of Caribbean Stud, but when the Hold’em craze took off in the late nineties, Alex took up the game, seeking out the big money that was being won in poker tournaments worldwide.

When he isn’t playing poker, Alex likes spending time with his wife and kids, and enjoys playing sports like basketball, football and tennis. His biggest passion is travel, and he loves to chill out on the beach after a major poker event.

Alex joins the ever expanding roster of Team PokerStars Pro, which includes such big names as Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, Joe Hachem, Daniel Negreanu and many other top pros from around the world.
