UltimateBet has scooped up another one of Texas Hold’em’s best. The online poker site today announced that James “POKERPRO33” Campbell will join Cliff “JohnnyBax” Josephy on its month-old Star Players team.

"UltimateBet is now home to a couple of online poker’s most talented and most respected players,” stated Annie Duke, UltimateBet’s Cardroom Consultant. “Our growing Star Players team is proof that UltimateBet is in a class of its own.”

The married 25-year-old poker player from Worcester, Massachusetts wasn’t always one of the biggest forces in online poker. Armed with a degree in finance, Campbell’s business card read “financial planner” for six months prior to discovering a better way to make money with numbers.

After finishing first and third in two tournaments one random Sunday for a combined win of ,000—a figure greater than his yearly salary at work—Campbell made the decision to switch careers.

Campbell cites leaving his career in financial planning to pursue a fulltime poker career as one of the biggest risks he’s ever taken.
