With so many of this field being un-raced 2YO the market should give a clearer indication of their relative chances. That said, I think this is likely to come down to two from the field.

Knavesmire’s first run was in what is turning out to be quite a hot Brocklesby in which she ran a creditable 3rd, keeping on at the end and pulling clear of the 4th horse. She looked as if, with experience, a maiden win would not be far away. Next up was a little disappointing with another 3rd. She ran well in terms of form but failed to build on her promise and looks like a horse that may improve over 6f.

I like the look of Soul Sista who is a daughter of the 1999 July Stakes winner. She was impressive enough on debut. After being slow into her stride she chased the winner down, but with the benefit of the rail that the subsequent winner was running against, she was just held. She looks as if she should benefit from that experience and is likely to be winning soon.

This looks like a good opportunity for Blue Spinnaker to follow up his win last time out with his second in quick succession. His win prior to this was two years ago and was from a mark of 90, but going into that last race there was some serious market attention and the money was obviously talking. He went after the leader early in the straight, sweeping to the front and his rider left nothing to chance. Returning now under penalty he looks a very attractive proposition. Of the rest Harry The Hawk makes most appeal.

Although there are a number of recent winners in this field it is hard to see past the hat-trick seeking William Blake. On debut he overcame greenness to win going away but still looking like a late maturing type that would appreciate a longer trip in time. Last time out this Mark Johnston colt showed his gameness after being headed to get up on the line. Of the rest Dubai Petal looks the biggest danger.
